Claremorris Equestrian Centre, Co. Mayo is a modern riding school which opened in April 1980 but has had continuous updating. It is run by the Hanley Family of medal winning showjumpers - 3 Generations of European Medals with the most recent Gold Medal coming from Cormac Junior (1987) in Portugal in 2011 with Pageant in the Children on Horses Category.  Coincidentally, the last European Gold Medal to come to Ireland in underage categories came in 1984 when Sinead Hanley was a member of the Team.  Claremorris Equestrian Centre is situated just 1km from Claremorris town on the N17 Galway Road approximately one hour from both Galway and Sligo.

The centre includes an indoor school with spectator viewing areas, hacking, showjumping and hunting facilities.  The indoor school is 60m x 30m. There are three outdoor manèges - 100m x 50m.

The Centre boasts a high standard of instruction and safety. There are teachers and horses to suit every grade of rider and lessons are given on a private, semi-private or group basis. Hacking through forests and over farmland takes place year round weather permitting.  The results of some of the riders coming from the Equestrian Centre is a testament to the hight standard of instruction provided at the Centre.

The Centre provides high quality instruction either indoor or outdoor depending on the weather. The Centre also provides customised tuition to meet the needs of the beginner and not so beginner and the professional staff can also provide help with problem horses. This is a centre with a family friendly atmosphere with lessons the whole family can enjoy and where you can learn the A to Z about horses.
